Position: Intermediate Vehicle Maintenance Tech (2 positions availalbe - Vail, CO)
Job Description: This full time/year round position is responsible for the general diagnosis, maintenance and repair of Vail's fleet vehicles. Other job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides repair and maintenance including but not limited to diesel and gas engines, electrical systems, hydraulic, tune ups, and brakes.
  • Communicate with department heads and employees regarding equipment problems and repairs
  • Must be able to assist other employees in diagnosis and repairs.
  • Train/teach employees when applicable.
  • Assists in all other shop duties as assigned. Responsible for all duties assigned by management.
  • Knowledge of welding and fabrication procedures preferred. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Automotive, Truck, Snowmobile, UVT or Fleet diagnostics and repair.
  • Small engine, snowmobile, and UTV/ATV repair experience.
  • Able to diagnosis and repair electrical and computer systems problems on modern vehicles.
  • Able to diagnosis and repair major mechanical systems on modern vehicles.
  • Must have a complete set of SAE and Metric hand tools and air tools.
  • Must have a current DL and be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months.

Position: SNOWsat Technician (Reno, NV)
Job Description: Assist SNOWsat Coordinator with SNOWsat system installations; train customer on SNOWsat software usage; ability to troubleshoot electrical and electronic controls; travel as required at last minute notice for installation. Assist and diagnose ski resort IT network integration with SNOWsat requirements. Must possess own set of tools.

Job Descriptions: Examines customer vehicle and discusses the nature and extent of damage/malfunction. Troubleshoot vehicle systems such as electronic, hydraulic, suspension, etc. Travels and performs on-site service. Train customers in repairing and servicing their new and/or used PistenBully. Assist in demonstration of PistenBully machines for customers. Attend trade shows as directed.

Qualifications: High school diploma; general education degee (GED); two to five years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have practical working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and possess adequate set of tools

Position: Spare Parts & Service Representative (1 position available - Salt Lake City, UT or Grand Junction, CO)

Job Description: Responsible for planning, organizing and synchronizing all activities related to spare parts and service sales for assigned territory.  Solicits actual and potential customers in order to ensure spare parts and service sales growth. Identifies the customers’ needs concerning spare parts and service to improve the after-sales service.  

      Specifically, he or she will:

  • Be responsible for parts and service sales to customers;
  • Ensure the implementation of contract agreement with customers and conglomerates;
  • Develop and implement a yearly Territory Plan; 
  • Analyze the parts and service sales and make necessary adjustments in order to achieve objectives;
  • Organize and ensure optimal solicitation in the targeted markets;
  • Ensure synergy between departments involved in spare parts for his customers;

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s business degree or an undergraduate business degree from an accredited college or relevant years of equivalent experience;
  • A minimum of at least five years demonstrated previous successful direct outside sales record in the Heavy Equipment industry;
  • In-depth knowledgeof sales and pricing strategies;
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of heavy equipment / systems & components;
  • Proven knowledge of Heavy Equipment industry; 
  • Rigor and discipline;
  • Proficient with computers (DBS, Microsoft, SIS);
  • Possess a valid driver’s license

Position: Alpine Service Technician (2 positions available - one in Salt Lake City, UT and one in Reno, NV)

Job Description: Reporting to the Western Regional Service Manager, this individual will be responsible for repairing & troubleshooting vehicles in our facility and in the field for our alpine and industrial products.

Specifically, he or she will:

  • Provide customer service support;
  • Troubleshoot all assigned vehicle/equipment systems;
  • Use diagnostic tools (i.e. volt ohm meters, scan tools, schematics etc.);
  • Ensure work order accuracy and completion for jobs assign;
  • Perform welding/fabrication jobs;
  • Fill out work orders, expense reports and make reservations for out-of-town work;
  • Document the correct information on the warranty tags for warranty parts and deliver parts to designated location; and
  • Provide information to warranty clerk for processing request to factory.

Physical Requirements:

  • Spring and summer work schedules are 40 hours a week, fall and winter work schedules will include, overtime, weekends, and on-call.
  • Must be able to travel through snow to reach a building or piece of equipment with tools and materials necessary to complete the job.
  • Will be required to lift, maneuver, position, remove and install heavy items. Must be physically capable of performing these tasks with assistance and alone.
  • Must be able to access various components located on any portion of a piece of equipment, on top, bottom, inside, behind, etc.

Qualifications: 

  • Mechanical degree (High School, DVS or College)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience on heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of Windows environment, and MS Office software.

  • Has to provide his/her own tools

Travel information:

You must be willing to travel frequently spending several nights on the road during the winter. You must have a valid driver's license and passport.

Position: Advanced Vehicle Mechanic (Park City, UT)

Job Description:  The Advanced Vehicle Mechanic provides maintenance and repair services for company fleet vehicles and assists in all other shop duties as assigned.  The fleet consists of PistenBully and Prinoth snow cats, Polaris and Ski-Doo snowmobiles, heavy equipment and small engine equipment.  

This is a full-time position and typically includes 4 ten hour shifts per week.  Additionally, this position is eligible for an attractive benefit package.

  • Must have or obtain a valid driver’s license / clean DMV record.

  • Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions (primary shop is on-mountain and work is often outdoors).

  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends.

  • Must have high school degree or equivalent

  • Must be able to communicate clearly in English
