Position: Sr. Vehicle Maintenance Technician (Park City, UT)

Job Description: This full time/year-round position is responsible for repairing and maintaining the Olympic Park’s fleet of vehicles and equipment including overseeing the vehicle maintenance shop.  Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform routine and emergency repair and maintenance to UOP vehicles: Snow-cats, heavy equipment and miscellaneous UOP equipment including: snowmobiles, snow-blowers, and small engines.
  • Supervise and maintain the Snow-cat maintenance facility and associated tools, equipment and shop supplies.
  • Develop, implement and maintain vehicle and equipment service logs and database.
  • Develop, implement and schedule maintenance plan for all UOP vehicles and equipment
  • Stock the maintenance facility with supplies, and maintain inventory.
  • Coordinate emergency maintenance with vehicle and equipment user needs and schedules.
  • Develop, implement and maintain training manuals for operation of each piece of UOP equipment.
  • Maintain all manuals, paperwork and registrations on all UOP highway legal vehicles.
  • Assist with managing the Vehicle Maintenance budget in coordination with Park Operations Management.
  • Oversee outside contractors hired to perform work on UOP equipment.
  • Ensure all vehicle maintenance activities comply with UOP safety policies, Utah OSHA regulations and safe work practices.
  • Assist all other UOP functions with mechanical support where appropriate.
  • Equipment training on loader, skid-steer, plow truck operations, ATV’s, etc.

 Qualifications:  

  • 5 years’ experience in vehicle/small machinery maintenance and repair
  • Extensive knowledge of Snow-cat, Snowmobile, and ATV repair
  • Chair-lift maintenance experience desired
  • Experience organizing and maintaining working mechanical shop
  • Must have exemplary organizational and prioritization skills
  • Welding experience required, Professional certification desired
  • Ability to multi-task in faced paced work environment
  • Must have own basic tools
  • Radio protocol

Position:  Vehicle Mechanic 3 (Bend, OR)

Job Description: This full time/year round position is responsible for keeping all Mt. Bachelor vehicles in good, safe, working order. 

Additional Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and inspect all of Mt. Bachelor’s vehicles (including but not limited to snow mobiles, heavy equipment and buses)
  • Repair and or replace any broken parts & perform routine maintenance at specified intervals 
  • Fill out paper work so necessary parts can be ordered
  • Fill out paper work showing what work was done
  • Help keep the shop in a good clean safe working state
  • Help anybody who walks into the shop who looks like they need help
  • Welding and fabrication of parts
  • Build hydraulic hoses
  • Repair electrical wiring as needed
  • Retrieve broken down vehicles as necessary 
  • Help with snow removal in the parking lots and around buildings using plow equipment and snow cats
  • Help with Air Link when necessary and any other emergency needs

Qualifications:  

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a technical program with at least 2 years in a ski resort based mechanic shop preferred.
  • Must possess current and valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
  • Canidates must be able to work in warm and cold environments in and out of the shop with minimal supervision.  
  • Must have a strong understanding of electronics, hydraulics and engine mechanics.
  • Experience working on snow cats helpful.  
  • Must be able to use hands in tight and awkward positions.  
  • Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs.
  • The ability to weld and a welding certificate considered a plus.

Position: Intermediate Vehicle Maintenance Tech (2 positions availalbe - Vail, CO)

Job Description: This full time/year round position is responsible for the general diagnosis, maintenance and repair of Vail's fleet vehicles. Other job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides repair and maintenance including but not limited to diesel and gas engines, electrical systems, hydraulic, tune ups, and brakes.
  • Communicate with department heads and employees regarding equipment problems and repairs
  • Must be able to assist other employees in diagnosis and repairs.
  • Train/teach employees when applicable.
  • Assists in all other shop duties as assigned. Responsible for all duties assigned by management.
  • Knowledge of welding and fabrication procedures preferred. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Automotive, Truck, Snowmobile, UVT or Fleet diagnostics and repair.
  • Small engine, snowmobile, and UTV/ATV repair experience.
  • Able to diagnosis and repair electrical and computer systems problems on modern vehicles.
  • Able to diagnosis and repair major mechanical systems on modern vehicles.
  • Must have a complete set of SAE and Metric hand tools and air tools.
  • Must have a current DL and be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months.

Position: SNOWsat Technician (Reno, NV)

Job Description: Assist SNOWsat Team with installation and maintenance of GPS all-terrain vehicle systems primarily in the ski resort business for fleet  management and snow depth mapping.  Install Trimble GNSS Hardware at resorts and in vehicles, ability to trouble shoot electrical and electronic controls; travel as required – occasionally on short notice.  Work with customers on SNOWsat software usage and Assist and diagnose ski resort IT network integration with SNOWsat requirements.  Must possess own tools used in this work.

Job Descriptions: Examines customer vehicle and discusses the nature and extent of damage/malfunction. Troubleshoot vehicle systems such as electronic, hydraulic, suspension, etc. Travels and performs on-site service. Train customers in repairing and servicing their new and/or used PistenBully. Position: Spare Parts & Service Representative (1 position available - Salt Lake City, UT or Grand Junction, CO)

Job Description: Responsible for planning, organizing and synchronizing all activities related to spare parts and service sales for assigned territory.  Solicits actual and potential customers in order to ensure spare parts and service sales growth. Identifies the customers’ needs concerning spare parts and service to improve the after-sales service.

Position: Alpine Service Technician (2 positions available - one in Salt Lake City, UT and one in Reno, NV)

Job Description: Reporting to the Western Regional Service Manager, this individual will be responsible for repairing & troubleshooting vehicles in our facility and in the field for our alpine and industrial products.

Specifically, he or she will:

  • Provide customer service support;
  • Troubleshoot all assigned vehicle/equipment systems;
  • Use diagnostic tools (i.e. volt ohm meters, scan tools, schematics etc.);
  • Ensure work order accuracy and completion for jobs assign;
  • Perform welding/fabrication jobs;
  • Fill out work orders, expense reports and make reservations for out-of-town work;
  • Document the correct information on the warranty tags for warranty parts and deliver parts to designated location; and
  • Provide information to warranty clerk for processing request to factory.

Physical Requirements:

  • Spring and summer work schedules are 40 hours a week, fall and winter work schedules will include, overtime, weekends, and on-call.
  • Must be able to travel through snow to reach a building or piece of equipment with tools and materials necessary to complete the job.
  • Will be required to lift, maneuver, position, remove and install heavy items. Must be physically capable of performing these tasks with assistance and alone.
  • Must be able to access various components located on any portion of a piece of equipment, on top, bottom, inside, behind, etc.

Qualifications: 

  • Mechanical degree (High School, DVS or College)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience on heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of Windows environment, and MS Office software.

Position: Advanced Vehicle Mechanic (Park City, UT)

Job Description:  The Advanced Vehicle Mechanic provides maintenance and repair services for company fleet vehicles and assists in all other shop duties as assigned.  The fleet consists of PistenBully and Prinoth snow cats, Polaris and Ski-Doo snowmobiles, heavy equipment and small engine equipment.
