On Wednesday, we have scheduled free time from 1:00 - 5:00 pm for you to enjoy all the activities the Grand Junction area has to offer. In addition to mountain biking, dirt biking, and hiking (which you are welcome to do on your own), we have coordinated the following group activities for conference attendees.
All of these activities take place at the same time, so you can only chose one and you must be register for the conference in order to participate.
Golf Tournament -
Fee - $68
Tee 'em high and let 'em fly. If you're a golfer - or just pretend to be - then this event is for you. The tournament takes place at the
Adobe Creek National Golf Course and the fee includes drink tickets, 18 holes, cart rental and a chance to win some great prizes. It's a four-man scramble format with a shotgun start. Pre-registration is required.
Trap Shooting Competition -
Fee - $50
Our most popular event. Accuracy is the name of the game for this team competition held at the
Grand Junction Trap Club. The fee includes lunch, rounds, and some fantastic prizes. Pre-registration is required and participants must provide their own gun.
Fishing -
No Charge
For the laid back group. Justin Tate will lead this fishing expedition. Unknown at this time, the final destination will be determined by the number of participants, their ability and the weather. All are invited, but participants must have a valid Colorado fishing license and provide their own gear, rods and artificial flies/lures.
Disc Golf -
No Charge
For the laid back group. Mo Finney, SAVMI board Member and Mountain Operations at Crotched Mountain, NH., will lead this Disc golf fun. Course will be determined once attendance is known and weather dependent. Be sure to bring your gear! If this is your first time, we'll pair you up with someone to share discs.
