As a critical member of the Mountain Operations team, this individual has a desire to achieve and set high standards for performance and growth. Our fleet is an essential part of our business and when an issue occurs...every moment it's out of service can impact our operations. The seasoned mechanic is responsible for keeping that time to a minimum with quality workmanship. With that said, no task is too small as working on Donner Summit means we all pick up a shovel, bump chairs, and pitch in all aspects of resort operations no matter our title or pay grade.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains and repairs all resort equipment, including grooming and snow removal equipment, snowmobiles, and street vehicles.
• Collaborates and communicates effectively with other departments to assess and prioritize needs.
• Ensures repairs and maintenance are conducted in accordance with all regulatory and safety requirements.
• Attends and contributes to operations meetings to gather information on upcoming events, changes, and share pertinent items with the team.
• Works in all weather conditions and potential for lots of overtime to resolve operation critical issues.
• Proactively anticipates potential challenges and completes preventative maintenance for our fleet.

Preferred Experience and Special Skills:

• 4+ years’ experience maintaining and repairing heavy machinery.
• Previous experience or familiarity with maintenance and operation of on snow and on-road vehicles.
• Able to perform the functions of the job in all weather for extended periods of time.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Description: 

You will be tasked with the maintenance and repair of the vehicles, equipment and small engines at the Ranch. Assist with coordination of outside contractors for major repairs or services. Candidate must have strong diagnostic skills in all areas of fleet repair. Work may be performed in a shop or out in the field, in any weather condition. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work in the Fleet Maintenance team with a positive and productive manner.

• Pleasantly greet, make eye contact, listen, and respond appropriately to every member’s or members guest’s needs and or questions.

• Abides by operating procedures, i.e., pre-trip inspection, fueling & fluids checks, Interior vehicle inspection and cleaning.

• Ensure that all equipment receives visual pre-work check list inspection prior to starting maintenance procedures.

• Performs major preventive maintenance on equipment per manufacturers recommendations and reports equipment issues to manager.

• Attends staff meetings and pre shift safety meetings.

• Assist members, guests, and coworkers to enjoy their time at WPR.

Preferred Experience and Special Skills:

• Valid driver’s license.

• Willingness and ability to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• 3-5 years maintenance or trade experience

• ASE Master Technician status preferred not mandatory
