Snowcat & Vehicle Mechanic (Big Sky, MT)
Description:
Mountain Operations is seeking candidates that have the desire to learn all aspect of snowcat and vehicle maintenance and repair. Gained knowledge will include all automotive and snowcat systems such as engine, transmission, axle, brake and electronics. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and vehicle inspections on pick-up trucks, and small engines. Experience with welding oxy-acetylene, and fabrication is a plus. Full-time/Year-round position, including Health, Dental and Vision Insurance options. Shifts Available: Four 10-hour shifts with start time at 7:00 am.
Qualifications:

Must be able to work independently and as a team servicing a fleet of vehicles.

Candidate must have the ability to operate, or train on large machinery to include, but not limited to, snowcats, forklifts, loaders, garbage trucks, and plow trucks.

Previous diagnostic and repair experience is preferred.

Heavy lifting and the ability to work outdoors in cold temperatures is required!

Training can be done on job with preference for heavy equipment operation experience

Small engine knowledge is a great start!

Mechanically inclined with initiative to learn

A qualified Snowcat Mechanic must have 2 years of experience in snowcat maintenance and repair.

Must also have knowledge of gas and diesel engines, hydraulic and hydro-static systems.
