The Slope Maintenance Supervisor is a winter-seasonal position that leads the team in overseeing the winter staff and operations of the Slope Maintenance Department. This department is responsible for the maintenance of the slopes, base area and parking lots, and assisting other departments with heavy equipment and manual labor needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be an effective leader within the guidelines of department and company policies, procedures and values, in fulfillment of Monarch’s mission statement to “provide our guests with a quality, personalized mountain experience.”
- Assist the Senior Director of Base Operations in the hiring of department A-Team employees for the department.
- Assist with scheduling department staff for efficient coverage of department functions. Adjust to actual requirements, covering staff positions as necessary.
- Provide timely employee feedback to the Senior Director and contribute to producing qualitative performance reviews of department A-Team staff.
- Provide guidance and support for the planning of Woodward Park City's fleet inventory, including new acquisitions, sales, and trade-ins.
- Be aware of and assist in staying within budgetary constraints; offer input for next season's budget proposal.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of training materials, manuals, checklists and other documents necessary for the success of the department.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining the inventory and condition of department supplies, properties and facilities.
- Assist the Senior Director in overseeing Slope Maintenance personnel and department operations, ensuring nightly maintenance of on-mountain snow surface conditions, snow removal, movement and area sanding, and the completion of requested projects as per priorities.
- Coordinate machine maintenance and repair with the Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor, Lead, and Senior Director.

Preferred Experience and Special Skills:

Reporting to the Director of Mountain Operations & Facilities, the Fleet Maintenance Manager is a critical position on and off the mountain. Qualifications:
